A detailed photoshoot of an ancient temple. A shard of the Khmer empire on Thailand soil near the border with Myanmar.
This particular temple is not highly decorative but has basic features present in Khmer architecture: arched tunnels with roof pikes, interlocking large stone masonry, rooms and niches with statues, or empty, tall multi-step towers.
In a half-destroyed tunnel, bees have found themselves at home, building a bright yellow hive between stone cracks.
It's a great focused reference for stone architecture.
