Photo Pack

These are huge Islamic schools (madrasas) built in the 15th century.

The buildings have thick richly decorated walls with small living quarters for the students. The majority of teaching was happening in the inner yards during the day.

The university's layout is always the same in the Islamic world with only different in the size of the structures.

Three madrasas have been shot in this photo pack.
